For events and hospitality

Everything hangs off the date.

For caterers, venues, wedding suppliers, event planners, mobile bars and entertainment. Result Studio tracks the enquiry, the date you are holding, the quote and the confirmation, then the work in the run-up to the day itself.

Bookings from enquiry and date held through to delivered
Day one

It arrives set up for you, not for a sales office.

The board reads Enquiry, Date held, Quoted, Confirmed, Delivered, with Bookings and Events. Activity types are Viewing, Tasting, Event, Call and Task, and labels mark Confirmed, Provisional and This week.

Date held exists as a stage because a provisional hold that nobody chased is how venues lose weekends, and it is invisible in software built around a sales funnel.

None of it is locked. Rename anything, add stages, delete what you do not use.

Enquiries

Provisional holds that do not go stale.

A held date sits in its own column with the enquiry attached. Anything that has sat too long flags itself, so the couple who asked in March and never came back gets a call rather than a wasted Saturday.

  • A distinct stage for provisional holds
  • Alerts on bookings that have not moved
  • Web forms and chat that create the enquiry
Enquiries queued with response deadlines so provisional holds do not go stale
The run-up

The event as a project with a deadline.

Each confirmed booking gets a plan with phases: suppliers, final numbers, timings, the day itself. Build it from a template so the fortieth wedding runs like the fourth, and share a progress page with the client by link.

  • Templates so every event runs the same way
  • A client-facing progress page, no login
  • Viewings and tastings on a shared calendar

Deposits and balances

The money, in stages.

Quote, then invoice the deposit, then the balance, all from the same booking. Overdue amounts chase themselves so the balance that should have cleared a fortnight before the day is not something you notice on the morning.

  • Quotes the client accepts online
  • Separate deposit and balance invoices per booking
  • Automatic chasing that stops when paid

Straight answers

Including what it does not do.

Can clients see and book available dates themselves?

No. There is no public availability calendar. Enquiries arrive by form, chat, email or phone and you place the hold. For most venues that is how it works anyway, but if self-serve booking is what you want, this does not do it.

Does it do seating plans, run sheets or menus?

No. The event plan is tasks and phases, not a floor plan or a table layout. You can attach the documents you already produce so they live with the booking.

Can it take a deposit by card at the point of booking?

Not yet. You can invoice the deposit and chase it, but payment is by bank transfer. Card payment is next on the list.

Does it warn me about double bookings?

Only in the sense that the calendar shows you what is already on that date. There is no hard block that refuses a second booking for the same day, so the discipline is still yours.

We are seasonal and quiet for months. Does that matter?

No. Pricing is by people and storage, not by how many bookings you take, so a quiet January costs the same as a busy June.
